Title: Busy!!
Finally i am able to rest at home with no worries. This past week has been the busiest since the turn of the year. This is partly due to next week's involvement in Asian Aerospace whereby i need to prepare for it. I even did my last DOO duty (hopefully its the last 1) this week. On top of that, Valentine's day was on this week as well. Starting from tomorrow till the following Sunday, i could be coming back very late at night and moving out again very early in the morning. Once Asian Aerospace finishes, i will be free and just passing the time.
Valentine's day was supposed to be an emotional day for couples but nowadays due to the heavy workload, many are just treating it as just a normal day. Nothing special about it. I was in town on that day and i was surprised to see many couples walking around holding on to heart-shaped balloons and bouquets of roses, sunflowers and lilies. Most restaurants and eateries were packed with long quenes and there was Valentine's day promotions like buying 2 sets dinner at a promotional prices. Most of us have the thinking that this is just a day for many young couples to celebrate but to my amazement, i saw 2 elderly couples holding hands and the ladies were holding on to a huge bouquet of roses. This shows that love is everlasting even though your head is filled with grey hair. Since this is a working day so i think couples should take some time off from their hectic schedule and spend this day with their loved ones.
As for the rest of the week, i was working in my office till 8pm at least for 3 consecutive days. One of the days because i was the DOO, i didnt stop until it was time for staff parade which is held at 10pm. This is my final push before my well deserved rest and break. Yesterday i was watching the news regarding the Budget for 2006. Full-time NSmen are entilted to $100 so i kept wondering does this appies to me as well?? Whatever it is, its good to have this incentive but without it, i have no qualms about it also.
Lastly, i was stunned when i heard both NUS and NTU are going to increase the tuition fees which will affect existing students and those going to enrol this academic year. Its going to be a 3% increase which means that my school fees will be $6110 per academic year. I think i am going to apply for bursaries and take up the tuition fee loan which has been increased to 90% of the tuition fees. Another headache for me before i start my school. Not forgetting, my sister has left for Sydney for her tertiary education at University of New South Wales reading Food chemistry if i am not wrong or some courses that got something to do with food. All the best to her.
Thats' all. Cheers!!
