Title: Merry Christmas!!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everybody!! Its time for celebrations and let your hair down. Every year this is the period of time whereby we can shop and shop for the best prices and buy some gifts for our loved ones. I certainly hope that everyone had a great time last night while we countdown to Christmas. Traditionally, Christians go to churches to celebrate this joyous occassion, the reason for it? I do not have a clue about it. But as time goes by, many non-christians do make a trip to churches for their service sessions during Christmas period. Tomorrow is Boxing day, which means that we are supposed to open up our presents tomorrow and not now, so those who had opened up your presents, think about this. Anyway, I do not have any presents this year but I am going to a potluck session tomorrow so i will have something back.
This working week has been cut short to 4 days only because tomorrow is holiday so everybody clap your hands and cheer!! Anyway, this week should be the shortest in every calendar year. The reason is because, after Christmas everybody's more relaxed as we are ushering into the new year with new resolutions. Many companies will adopt the block leave concept whereby the staff will be going on leave until the new year. Even if the company is still functioning for this coming week, many do apply leave until the new year. I agree with this idea, its time to relax and enjoy some moments with your loved ones and friends. After this break, we will start to prepare for Lunar New Year and another long break beckons!!
In less than a week, we will be welcoming a brand new year, 2006. This coming year holds much promise because i will be starting school again after a 2 year break. A new year, a new beginning. Lets hope for the very best in this coming year.
Merry Christmas to all!! Happy holidays!!

Title: Birthday!!
Do not be mistaken that its my birthday over the past week but rather its my pal's. His 21st birthday, a very special day for everybody i suppose. Many have their opinions on this special day, some take it as a normal day some would celebrate it lavishly. My personal 5 cents worth, its a special day whereby you should have all your loved ones by your side, sharing this special moment with you. Family, relatives and friends should be there because they are the most important beings in your life since you came here. Cherish every single moment with them and appreciate that they are there for you all the time. Birthday celebrations are supposed to be meaningful and eventful. It could be a quiet getaway but it could be a grand celebration as well but i still think that its necessary to celebrate even if its just a dinner with your parents and loved ones. It signifies that you have crossed another year in your growing up and the beginning of another eventful year ahead. It is THE day you are born and get to witness and live through the things that had happened, happening and the future for you to look forward to. Its a joyous ocassion for all.
As Christmas is less than a week away, i am beginning to pen down a wish list for myself. I know this list is never ending but i think i will prioritize and only buy accordingly. The list is still in the making once it is done, i will publish here in my blog. A few potluck parties to attend this week so i think it will be fun whereby your friends come together for a gathering and exchange gifts. This is a good time to catch up with your friends and enjoy a sumptous dinner together. I shall prepare some food so that i will not be empty handed. Trust me, the foods that i prepared, its good!!
One more thing, my understudy has been named and he has come to my unit to take a look. Its good news for me because i know that there will be someone to finish up the job left by me and also to start and to help out when as in possible. Do not think that i am going to leave him with a dozen of unfinished tasks with approaching deadlines but i will be here to guide him as well. I shall talk about this succession process that is happening everywhere on this planet Earth.
*Cheers*

Title: Work!!
I'm back in my office. This time round, maybe because i didnt went overseas so i managed to complete some outstanding issues. I was doing my duty on Sunday so i take this opportunity to check my email for the past week, to my horror i have some deadlines to meet which is tomorrow so i know i have to rush the thing and get it ready by today. Thanks God, everything's done and it is good to be sent up to Higher HQ. Today was an another sad day, a fellow colleague of mine passed away while having holiday in China, he met with an accident. It was a stunning news to me because as stated in my blog earlier, another friend of mine passed away on Friday. Life's short, you really must live it to the fullest. No regrets, because anywhere anytime anyone anything can happen. Cherish your loved ones now!!
I saw this advert by GoldHeart jewellery - Celestial. It was a beautiful advert, you have this married couple (i think) on the way to somewhere. This lady is grazing at the glittering array of stars, she placed her hand against the stars in the sky and compare her diamond ring to the stars. A beautiful picture coupled with soothing music. I think that girl must be the happiest girl on Earth at that moment. It was brilliant advert, capturing the beauty of the diamond ring and also the wonderful night sky. Kudos to the producer and the person behind this idea, i was being captivated by the stunning night sky and the beauty of it.
A short blog this time round but i will be back to publish more.

Title: Sentosa!!
I just came back from a trip to our very own island resort, Sentosa. It was fun and enjopyable, the Sun was kind enough to be bright and sunny even though the dark clouds did hover around but all in all, it was a sunny day. I met up with Kenneth whom just came back from Australia and will be around until Feb 06. Alex and Ruifang were around too, that's all that turn up. the rest, they have their reasons some logical some absurd, whatever it is, we are just trying to organize an outing but in the end, those whom had promised to appear or turn up at least went missing at the very last moment. I expected this to happen actually but i'm happy that at least i get to see Kenneth and we get to play some games of volleyball. Today is the ZoukOut event held at Siloso beach itself but thankfully, the volleyball courts were allowed to use.
As i was resting and started to feel a bit lethagic, my friend SMS me telling me a shocking news. To my horror, my BMT section mate has just passed away due to a road accident, he was driving a motobike and he's just 21. Its really pity that he has left us so early. I was astonished to hear that and this is the 2nd time involving a friend of mine who has passed away due to motobike accident. My sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.
Tomorrow i am going back camp for my duty, after 8 days of rest at home, its back to work again. Hopefully this time round, i do not have that kind of feeling again. By the way, as i am typing away, i am thinking of something, which i do not know what it is actually. I would like to clarify something, I do not have a girlfriend now. Some of you saw my MSN nick and mistaken that i am attached now which is not. That's all for now, too tired to do anything or is there anything i could do anymore??

Title: Leave!!
This week I'm on leave, reason is because i need to clear my leave accumulated during my year of service in 2004 so i do not want to waste it so i am clearing them now. Today is the third day of my leave and i have not done anything yet to my room, tidy up and clean up. Anyway, i guess i am too lazy to do it, i shall leave it to the day i ORD then it will be a good time to tidy up and prepare myself for campus life. Talking about that, i received a letter from NTU on Friday asking me to confirm my enrolment in Jul 06 so without any thought, i filled up the form electronicallyand in a flash, my place is confirmed in NTU. Also, Nanyang Business School (NBS), invited me for a high tea session in Jan 06 at their Executive Centre for a get-together and a sharing experience aimed to find out more about the course, lecturers and the way of living in NBS. I also received a letter telling me my schedule for my medical examination at NTU which is in Apr 06. That's a long way to go yet.
I was watching 'Star Idol' and they were announcing the results and who has been booted out of the competition. My favourite 'Idol' was Cheryl Ng, but due to insufficient support from the public, she is out of the competition completely. Everybody has a dream in their life. Be it you want to be a doctor or a lawyer back in pre-school days where you dreamed about that everyday because your parents want you to be successful. That is a dream also, its good to have a dream because you ahve something to look forward to in your life, a direction for you to follow and the desire to succeed in your quest for the outcome. Everybody should have a dream, i strongly encourage that to happen. I have a lot of aims in my life but right now i am still searching one though. Not a good example to talk about. Only when you have a dream, an aim then you will find your path to success. Question, why do our parents keep on encouraging us to work hard in our studies?? Answer, so that we have a better life next time and our family will not suffer hardships. This is a dream we are talking about, it may not be obvious to you but it is there if not everybody should stop working right now. We work for our future so we have a direction to follow, a path to walk on and finally success is found at the end of the road.
My 5 cents worth of advice, work hard in whatever you are doing now because it is part of what you are going to achieve ultimately in life. Dreams, goals and aims are just nouns found in the dictionary but end of the day, success is what you will see and achieve if you put in effort.
*Cheers*

Title: Television!!
Something unexpected happened this afternoon. I went to play soccer with some of my unit's friends so after i make my way home to rest and eat my lunch. I switched on the TV to catch the highlights of yesterday's EPL games. As i was watching, the pictures started to trip and became distorted, slowly i tried to adjust the cables, trying to remedy the problem but to no avail. I told my mum about this, she came into the living room to take a look and she also tried switching the channels and tighten the cables but it simply didn't work and 'snap' the screen went blank and there wasn't any image on the set now. The worst scenerio has happened, my TV is spoilt after almost 8 years. Suddenly, the world seems to have ended, i know this is kind of exaggerating but this is true, i do not know what to do now, no TV, no programmes to watch and my 'Star Awards' is showing tonight, i cannot afford to miss it.
Only one thing in my mind, to go down to Courts and buy a new TV back as soon as possible. I told Mum about this and she agreed only if she could finish her work at home first. I was thinking fine, i shall wait for her. Who knows, i feel asleep and it took an hour an half before we actually make our way to Compass Point. After some browsing, choosing and thinking, we bought a brand new Samsung LCD TV 23'' inches to be exact. It costs a bomb but it was neccessary. I managed to bring back and setup the everything before dinner time. The quality was excellent and the sound system was superb. Everything is back to normal again, I get to watch my programmes and everybody's happy again. Luckily, it was spoilt in the afternoon, if it happened when the show is showing, that would be a disaster for everybody in the house. Glad that everything was solved.
My sister just came home from her outing, another stunning thing has happened, my mp3 player is down. The music is ok and everything's seems alright only that the cable is loose and it become karoake version, *sighz* at first there was some problem with the remote control so i change the thing by not using the remote control at all, that solves the problem but another thing cropped up again. Without my player, everywhere i go will be so plain, not interesting at all. What should i do now?? It seems like everything is down at the moment and it means i need to replace to them and that means that i need to cough out money also.
This blog wasn't meant to be written in this manner but after hearing the news that my mp3 player is down, i have got nothing to write already. I shall end it here.
