Title: Devils Bar, DO duty and AHM 05
Its been a while i blog.. this week rather busy didnt have the time to logged on.. well its time for me to update a bit.. Lets start from Thursday.. I went for my eye review at the National Eye centre... this time round i was late again.. haiz.. took a cab down once again.. but i booked a cab because it seems like there were no taxis around at all.. dunno what happen... the booking fee was 4 bucks lor.. wah piang.. damn ex but no choice la.. so i went there they took my readings of both eyes.. and finally i got the correct readings of my eyes.. haha.. didnt know it until that day... when i went in.. this time Dr Ho wasn't that mean anymore.. haha. and she said that my eyes are healing beautifully well.. yeah... finally.. so she gave me an open date for any appointments if i need to consult her... finally after all that went home to rest... In the evening i went to see the Lion Dance competition at Taka.. my fren is participating so went to take a look with my unit frens also.. after that to celebrate his bday went to Devils Bar... it was great!! the music was fantastic and the crowd alright la.. drinks were good also.. the best part is the she-devils!! wooo.. simply stunning!! haha...
Friday i was Do again.. ahha... this week did 2 duties... good la.. clear my duties for this month... haha.. actually it was plain smoothing.. just like any other day of my DO duty... until something happen... i shall not divulge it here.. but its not something that every DO wants it to happen or should i put it that not everybody in the unit want it to happen.. haiz... other than that it was alright la.. hand over duty the next day went back home to recover my sleep.. haha.. before going out to pass the gift to Xiaomei because it was her bday the previous day... then met up with Victor, Ronald and Shihao... went some window shopping... haha.. saw the new ipod nano... simply stunning!! it costs 348 for 2GB 438 for 4GB... basically it acts as a replacement for ipod mini.. colour screen.. the thickness is only half of that of ipod mini.. slick.. stylish... and it stores photos also... very tempted to buy.. shall wait for a few months down the roaad 1st.. hehe... after that saw a T-shirt from Adidas.. costs 89 bucks.. damn ex but very nice.. got the retro feel.. saw a Levi's bag also.. 89 bucks also.. looking at it.. i rather buy the bag.. ahha... then went CK Tangs saw 2 T-shirts from Nike... gave them a try.. not bad la.. 30 odd but didnt buy it.. then came across a FCUK T-shirt with the words printed as 'Make love not war' very peaceloving kind of shirt.. also very nice and fitting for me.. 59 bucks.. but.. no go for me.. must save a bit since my HK trip coming soon... hehe... then finally saw a T-shirt at ZARA got this Afro-styled guy printed on the shirt.. 59 bucks i think.. cant remember.. again i didnt buy it.. wahh... alot of things i saw liao feel like buying.. ahha... but never mind la.. must save $$ this month... broke liao leh.. hehe... Heeren got a selection going on for DJs to be for Dongli 88.3FM.. some wierd performances.. singing and dancing.. but the gals look good though.. hehe... nowadays alot of aspiring superstars to be... haha.. since tomorrow is AHM, need to go back early to rest... went back to aunt's place to take her car becoz i will be driving to Padang for the AHM...
AHM 05 or i dubbed it as my ORD run.. haha... 21km... no joke boy!! it is going to be a gruelling and mentally tough run around the CBD area.. National Stadium and East Coast park as well.. but everything turn out the other way... I was supposed to be there by 5am to report.. in the end i woke up at 0530hrs.. argh!!! simply cannot make it.. haha.. rush like crazy... decided not to drive becoz no time to find parking liao.. took a cab down.. reach there asking around where's the rest, all proceeded to the Start line liao.. die... have to play catch up liao.. rush to the start line then carry on running.. trying to catch up.. finally saw a few chaps along the way.. it was tough.. realli.. but the pace was set by me.. so it was comfortable la.. haha.. saw cups of Gatorade and plain water.. took alot to drink.. hehe.. too greedy liao.. so end up with stitch along the way... and starting to cramp... at about the 18km mark... decided to walk la.. hehe... becoz the pain too much to bear liao.. so walk a bit.. run a bit.. finally coming to ending point liao.. the drive came back to me.. pick up the pace and dash for the finish line.. yeah!! its over!! my ORD run... haha.. came in 2 hrs 10 min like that.. got myself a Finishers' medal.. and went to look for my frens.. ate an ice-cream and drank a whole bottle of Gatorade.. woo... so ok la.. not so panting in the end.. still can walk around look see look see.. hehe.. the pace was good.. didnt know that i could managed that pace til the 18km mark.. hehe.. the timing also not bad la.. important is i got the medal.. not the time.. haha.. i also run for medals if not what's the pt of running where there isn't any recognition.. haha... went to makan after that with my unit khakis.. finally reach home bathe then its time to recuperate my body.. hehe.. slept until now lor.. haha..
It was a good experience la.. running the 21km was good.. next time in uni liao.. must cont to run.. if not no 400 to my account.. ahha... the key is set your own pace.. its good to come in within 2 hrs 45mins... but its not a requirement.. it would be just as fine if you could just finish the race in whatever time you are comfortable with.. finish the race.. not compete... since we are non-competitive runners.. Kudos to all who ran this morning.. you have reached another milestone in your NSF liability... That's all..
